Scholarship Eligibility
The Friends of Rough River Lake, Inc., a Kentucky Non-Profit Organization, will award a scholarship to a Breckinridge and Grayson County senior who plans to attend any post-secondary institution.

Award Amount: $1,000 to a senior from each county High School (Breckinridge & Grayson).

Scholarship awards to be used for reasonable & customary education expenses.

The check will be written after the completion of volunteer hours, which may occur in the first summer after the student graduates from high school.

College/University/Technical Institute must be accredited.

Students must meet all of the following criteria:
A. Resident of eligible county (Breckinridge or Grayson)
B. High School diploma or GED (received by the time monies are awarded)
C. Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or better
D. Recommended by a teacher, counselor, or principal
E. Student will work at least 8 hours at a Friends of Rough River event. Service hours must be completed by Aug 1st. Scholarship will be paid out after the volunteer hours are completed.
F. No disciplinary or negative behavior record at school.
G. Student’s written submission (answering “Student Merits” questions in the application.)
